Excellent screen capture apps aren't hard to come by, but excellent free ones are. With sophisticated features at no cost, it's hard to reach higher than Gadwin PrintScreen. An attractive, easily navigated interface opens up a customization wonderland for users to decide default settings for shortcut key associations, capture preferences, and output.
For our purposes, the clicking and dragging regions is the clear choice. Misjudge your region's dimensions and Gadwin PrintScreen lets you readjust them without having to start over, something many commercial competitors don't do. Setting the app to automatically open each screen capture in your favorite viewer or editor makes up for the program's lack of built-in image editor, still achieving a seamless screen capture experience from start to finish that grabs and delivers shots just where you want them.

Version: Gadwin PrintScreen 3.1 build 1058
Pros: Easy to install and uninstall. PrintScreen uses the free Print Scr/Sys Rq-button of your keyboard and you can place the mouse arrow on the screen to capture that screen. I downloaded the 3.1 build 1061 version from their website, which is free from error etc. Remember to set settings via double click the taskbar pictogram of PrintScreen.

Version: Gadwin PrintScreen 3.1 build 1058
Pros: It's a small download and doesnt take up much space. It doesnt hog up RAM (3MB). Easy to setup, pick a hotkey, a path to save the files and select the file type to save it as, jpg, png etc. Plenty of more options to capture images. Best thing of all it's free, i strongly recommend this if you need a image capture program.

Pros: -It is Easy to use and captures the screen and the mouse pointer.
-Many different features
-Lots of capturing modes
-FREE with no limitations!
-NO SPYWARE / VIRUSES / TROJANS ETC. ETC.
Cons: -Pixelates (spelling?) easily when made over 100% and that really makes it lose a whole star... otherwise it was going to be 5/5

Version: Gadwin PrintScreen 3.1 build 1058
Pros: It's just a small little program that does exactly what it says; captures the image on my computer screen! What you see, is what you get! It's pretty much as simple as that!
Cons: I only had a small problem trying to figure out how to work it, but now that I know the shortcut key (HOT KEY) I have nothing to complain about :)
