Publisher's description of KeyScrambler Personal 2.2.1
From QFX Software:KeyScrambler Personal is a free plug-in for your Web browser that protects everything you type from keyloggers. It defeats keyloggers by encrypting your keystrokes at the keyboard driver level, deep within the operating system. When the encrypted keystrokes reach your browser, KeyScrambler then decrypts them so you see exactly the keys you've typed. Keyloggers can only record the encrypted keys, which are completely indecipherable. Unlike anti-virus and anti-spyware programs that depend on recognition to remove keyloggers that they know about, KeyScrambler will protect you from both known and unknown keyloggers. What's more, KeyScrambler provides protection without getting in your way. You don't have anything to learn about the program and you don't have to do anything differently, but with KeyScrambler your important personal information will be a whole lot safer.
Version 2.2.1 is a bug fixing release.

Version: KeyScrambler Personal 2.2.1
Pros: Simple notification of new versions, quick to load, the bar can be repositioned to any of the four sides of the window, and shows you that it's working when typing information into a webpage. Does what it claims, and free - simply a must have.
Cons: Bug that would have the encrypted text entered into the webpage when the browser had bugs, not seen since. Does not support Google Chrome Beta.

Version: KeyScrambler Personal 2.2.1
"Nice try, though quite redundant"
Pros: It protects popular browsers like IE and Firefox against "keyloggers" by encrypting what you type so malware cannot read private or sensitive information, so it makes you feel "safe". Important note: this version is out of date: newest = v.2.3.0.1
Cons: first of all: it only protects you inside IE of Firefox, no other browsers, neither outside these browsers, unless you pay. Second remark: it slows down terribly the performance of your browser. Third remark: redundancy! Read my bottom-line summary.
Summary: OK, here we go: this KeyScrambler uses a lot of system resources, it eats too much memory and cpu-usage. When I type something in Firefox (like I do now) this fast and safe browser turns into a snail or even worse! My biggest remark is that KeyScram... read more >>
